Church Sandwich
One afternoon as I sat on a train leaving Waterloo station I happend to be looking through some recently taken images so as I looked out the moving train's window my camera was all set to capture this image just as we were speeding up. I don't know which church this is but I'm sure some Londoners out there will be able to identify it.

Equus Oculus
Taking a short walk with my wife near the Zes Wielen (Six Windmills) in Alkmaar with my wife, we happened upon a paddock with poines who were falling over themselves to get to us. Sadly we had nothing to offer them other than a lens in the face.

Sophie In Stripes
You'll have to indulge me here. This is a shot of my little niece taken on an afternoon down on the beach at Egmond aan Zee. Aside from the subject there are many things about this shot that I like - enough to almost ignore the technical problems with it. The fact that her jacket echoes the color of the bars to her right, the look of concern and concentration in her eyes and the way she's sort of pointing to nothing in particular.

Bruges' Belfry
Last week as we drove home from a recent trip to Holland we decided to break up the journey by stopping off at Bruges in Belgium. For those who have never attempted to find Bruges by car let me warn you now that Belgium has succeeded in accomplishing something I never thought possible - they've provided less road signs than you'll find in England.

Sacred Heart
I'm often guilty of it myself. The photographer's old lament that there's nothing interesting to shoot where you live. Having lived in this area for nearly eight years I somehow managed to miss this rather large and impressive church. It was there all along. I was the one who wasn't looking.

The Great Lawn
I think this shot of The Great Lawn will probably be the last in the series of shots I took during my last jaunt back home to NYC. I'm I sad? Well sad that I've drained the archives of things to post certainly but not sad that's it's the last in the series. Afterall it just means it's time for another visit.

Helms Deep Veteran
Another shot from Richmond Park. Something about the character of this particular tree that put me in mind of the trees that fought at Helms Deep in LOTR.

Holographic
Been doing a little experimenting with a reversing ring lately. Basically I'm reversing my 50mm lens and just playing around to see what sort of results I can get out of it. Here I've simply moved the camera around a holographic image until something interesting caught my 'eye'.
